Recently, the wooden plank floor in the beautifully restored event location of Gare Maritime in Brussels has been given a new finish. LOBA EasyFill and 2K ImpactOil transparent were chosen For the 830 m2 floor. In addition, WAKOL products were also used to repair the screed.

Gare Maritime: from industrial freight station to energy-neutral urban jungle!
The Gare Maritime is the perfect setting for innovative, cultural events, film and photo shoots, markets, fairs, launches and promotions. The historic station halls of the Gare Maritime have been transformed into a covered city, with food halls(from September 2021), exclusive shops and offices. The building complex offers a range of unique, inspiring spaces interspersed with warm wooden clad halls: perfect for the organisation of small and large–scale events. The architectural focal point is the monumental central nave that is bathed in indirect sunlight and has more than enough space for indoor activities with many visitors
Sustainability is of paramount importance
Any event in the Gare Maritime is a”Green event”. During the renovation of the building, sustainability was a huge consideration. Energy is now generated on site by geothermal sources and solar panels. The green pedestrian boulevards on either side of the central nave feature themed gardens and tall trees, as if the adjacent park flows into the building.
